Jeremy, from N-Sided, is glad to present in this newsletter, the first part of a three-chapters tutorial that describes each step of the creation of a video game character by combining QUIDAM and a high-poly modeler. You will discover the next chapters in the following newsletters.

We will start by creating our character mesh, its global shapes and proportions, with QUIDAM. We will then use ZBrush to create a high definition version of our character ; this version that will be used to generate textures with xNormal. Finally we will re-import all the datas into QUIDAM, then in a game engine to visualize the final result.

Our team is always paying attention to your remarks, and as you have certainly noticed, there are regularly updates and improvements. This new version, 3.15, brings a lot of optimizations and fixes.

The Edit Skeleton advanced module, already improved in QUIDAM 3, has been completed in order to provide more usable features.
We remind you that this function allow you to easily change the skinning and the proportions (to create fantasy characters for example). This module works now perfectly throughout different working sessions. Indeed, the backup format has been improved in order to store all the information required in all cases. Professionals and advanced users will appreciate this advanced system of skeletons edition, which is now much more powerful and flexible.

In addition, external peripherals support, such as graphics tablets or 3D mouse, has been improved to make your work smoothier and easier on both Mac and Windows systems.

Moreover, color widget selector has been improved in order to be more accurate when you're choosing a color.

Regarding Model Packs, the Woman Model Pack has got a new range of customizable low-poly shoes;  textures have been corrected for the 2048 resolution for the Man Model Pack,

Let's not forget that all export plug-ins for QUIDAM are regularly updated.

As you know, Windows 7 is now out, and we confirm that QUIDAM is perfectly compatible with the retail version of the new operating system from Microsoft.

QUIDAM 3.15 is available for free to all registered users who have purchased QUIDAM 3 or QUIDAM 3 Studio.

Argile 2.10  gets all the optimizations from its big brother, QUIDAM 3.15.

This update, available immediately, is free for all registered users of Argile 2.
